Alabama Citizens Rally Against Meth ProblemMeth labs are a problem in Marshall County, Alabama and the folks want to do something about it.
Wednesday, dozens of people gathered at the Harvest Church in Albertville, Alabama to get more information about the meth problem there. It was part of the church's second annual "Taking It Back Program." A rally for the awareness and prevention of drug use in the area.
Since 75% of all crime in Marshall County, Alabama stems from drug use, the pastor says it's important people understand the problem.
Jay Prosser, Harvest Church pastor said, "This problem is following many different levels, you've got the police level, the law-making level, but also ordinary citizens, once they become informed about it and become informed about what's going on, they can have the power to make a difference."
The program included demonstrations from the Alabama Bureau of Investigations, the Marshall County Drug Enforcement Unit and the founder of Mothers Against Methamphetamines.
